Cornerstone Youth Group

This is our group for grades 6 through 12.

We meet Wednesday evening from  6:30pm – 8:00pm.

We start at Aldersgate Methodist (1621 Thornton)

and end at Christ Church Anglican (1200 Texas)

We provide safe and loving care for little ones, four and under, during the Sunday Worship service. Adults and mature teens work as two person teams.

Women's Bible Study

This active group gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group  is a time of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). This provides a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church. Groups meet on Wednesday at the Church at 11:00 am.

Community Outreach

Facilitating many activities such as Food Truck-Or-Treat, Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Boxes, and more

We Deliver

Outreach to the homeless and food-compromised in our community. Volunteers make lunches on the third Wednesday of each month for distribution.

Mission Outreach

CCA is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers.

International Evangelism Outreach – Bishop Eliudi Issangya

Amani For Africa USA - Fr. John Naumann

Prayer Chain & Ministry To Shut-Ins

A confidential email based ministry that informs members of prayer concerns. Orders of Worship are also mailed weekly to shut-ins and others unable to attend.

Intercessory Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. CCA is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, teams of volunteers are available during communion to pray with members.. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Chain, pray for their pastors, church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Monday, the Intercessory Team comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Sewing & Quilting Ministry

Sewing and quilting projects are crafted to raise funds for Bishop Eliudi’s orphanage in Tanzania. Projects are determined and everyone in the group takes a vital role in the creations.

Angel Tree

A Christmas time program that collects and delivers presents to children of prisoners.

Operation Christmas Child

Shoeboxes full of gifts and God’s word are sent to needy children at Christmas time.

Altar Guild

We faithfully set up and take down the altar for each service. It is a quiet and respectful ministry, caring for the sacramental vessels and linens and setting the Lord’s Table.

Lay Reader & Chalice Bearer

A trained team of members who serve at the Lord’s Table and lead the congregation with prayers and scripture.

The usher team at CCA fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, distributing the Order of Worship, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, collecting the offering and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Coffee hours have been provided after worship on most Sundays except during the summer. We even have coffee hours during the “off” season for special occasions. We also organize lunches and dinners for many special events. We welcome congregation participation at all times.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of CCA. In an age of widespread technology, we use  these tools for the greater good of Christ’s Kingdom. Among those tools include: This website, video projection during services, extensive use of e-mail to our church family, and in-house publication of worship bulletins and newsletters.

Music & Liturgical Arts

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved with sound, recording, and projection equipment. Interpretation of a fine art image depicting Scripture is presented on the cover of our weekly Order of Service.  These individuals are an important part of the ministry of CCA, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
